Meghan French, Executive Director

Meghan French is a nonprofit leader and development strategist with more than a decade of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through fundraising, community engagement, and team empowerment.

Before joining BirchBark, Meghan served as Director of Development at Siena House, where she built and implemented the organization’s first comprehensive fundraising program—growing donor retention, event revenue, and corporate sponsorships through innovative campaigns and relationship-based philanthropy.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and deep commitment to equity, Meghan brings a people-first approach to every role. At BirchBark, she is leading the organization through a new phase of growth focused on internal infrastructure, fundraising expansion, and community outreach across Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties.

Meghan lives in Santa Cruz and is passionate about building joyful, transparent, and high-trust workplace cultures. She is especially inspired by the opportunity to support families in keeping their beloved animal family safe, healthy, and close to home.
