Mia Adams, Development manager
Mia Adams is the Development Manager at BirchBark Foundation, where she is able to combine two things she cares deeply about, building meaningful relationships and helping keep people connected to the animals they love!
Before joining BirchBark, Mia led youth grief programming and directed Camp Erin Santa Cruz at Hospice of Santa Cruz County, where she worked closely with families, volunteers, community partners, and supporters. She loves bringing people together around work that matters and helping them feel genuinely connected to a mission.
Outside of work, Mia lives in the Aptos mountains with her boyfriend and their two very loved dogs. She’s happiest spending time with family, supporting live music, crocheting something she may or may not finish, watching a British murder mystery, or talking about her dogs like they’re human children. BirchBark’s mission feels especially close to home because she knows just how much pets are part of the family.
