A Message from our leadership

For more than a decade, BirchBark Foundation has been a lifeline for families facing impossible choices about the pets they love. What began as one veterinarian’s determination to prevent economic euthanasia has grown into a tri-county organization that has helped hundreds of families keep their beloved pets when financial hardship threatened to tear them apart.

Today, BirchBark stands at a pivotal moment. We have proven the need for our work and built a reputation for compassion, integrity, and impact. Now, we are ready to build the organizational foundation that will sustain this mission for generations to come.

This strategic plan represents months of listening, reflection, and honest conversation among our board, staff, community partners, and stakeholders. It is both a celebration of how far we have come and a clear-eyed commitment to what lies ahead.
