thank you!

We are so grateful to you for caring as deeply as you do about animals and the people who love them. Your support enables wonderful families in our community to share a life of love and happiness together with their pets.

One of the dogs you impacted recently was Marley, a 13 year-old Chihuahua who was rescued 8 years ago when his mom, Jessica, found him darting through busy traffic in Modesto. He was microchipped, but all attempts to contact his original family were fruitless. But it was okay; he had a new family, and one who would love him forever! Jessica and Marley have been by each others' sides ever since then.

Jessica has been diligent about providing all the veterinary care Marley needs as he ages, but she recently struggled with temporary job loss due to COVID and was burdened with student debt and debt of prior veterinary bills. So, when Marley needed to see a veterinary ophthalmologist, Jessica reached out to us for help. Marley had become totally blind, and managed his blindness well . . . but his eyes remained painful (and prone to injury) due to glaucoma. By working together, Jessica, the vet, and you were able to provide Marley the surgery he needed to continue to live his life pain-free.

Thanks to you, we hope that Jessica and Marley will continue to share many, many happy days together!
