Friends of Watsonville Animal Shelter - FOWAS

FOWAS (Friends Of Watsonville Animal Shelter) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the animals in Santa Cruz County. FOWAS has contributed significantly to the low-cost spay and neutering of dogs, cats and rabbits since 2004, including creating a clinic for this purpose in 2013.

Salinas Animal Shelter

SAS offers Spay/Neuter vouchers to City of Salinas residents in the amount of $50 for male pets and $75 for females. These vouchers can be used at most vets in the Monterey County area. Pet owners are responsible for fees over the voucher amount charged by the veterinarian.

Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter

The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter’s PLANNED PetHood Spay and Neuter Program provides access to high quality, low-cost spay/neuter services for ALL resident dogs, cats and rabbits of Santa Cruz County. The goals of this program are to help reduce our homeless animal population and also help residents comply with current animal ownership laws.

SNIP, a mobile, low-cost spay and neuter clinic serving Monterey County, has now ‘snipped’ over 30,000 dogs and cats since its inception in summer 2018! The 26-foot bus traveled to Salinas, Prunedale, King City, Soledad and Hollister offering 3-4 low-cost spay and neuter clinics per month by a highly trained veterinary team for only $25 per pet. SNIP is committed to ending the suffering and death of perfectly healthy, unwanted animals in local shelters due to overpopulation.
