birchbark lecture series - 1st Lecture, may 19th, 2018
Our first lecture series was a great success! Dr. Merrianne Burtch, DVM, DACVIM gave an informational lecture on Intestinal Health in Pets, while taking questions throughout and everyone enjoyed some healthy snack after the lecture, while attendees had a chance to talk individually with Dr. Burtch.
BirchBark's lectures series was created to fulfill our mission of educating families to be better advocates for their pets. They are a great way to help learn the early signs of pet disease and even speak briefly with a board certified specialist about any concerns you may have.
Lectures are held at The Raw Connection in Carmel Valley (26200 Carmel Rancho Blvd) and are approximately 30 minutes long followed by Q&A. They are very casual and there is always an opportunity for questions. See our current events page for upcoming lectures. You can also see a recap of Dr. Burtch's slide presentation on our blog page.
Light snacks and beverages are provided. $20 donation to BirchBarkFoundation suggested.
"Cancer in Pets" presented by Dr. Teresa Arteaga, DVM DACVIM (Oncology) is next on July 14th at 2 pm.
thanks for being a star for birchbark foundation!
BirchBark Foundation was very excited to participate in the 38th Annual Santa Cruz County Human Race!
BirchBark, along with over 200 other non-profits, helped raised almost $250,000 at this year's Human Race. A part of these donations will go to BirchBark Foundation to assist with our mission of helping low income families through pet medical crises.
