Fall in love with birchbark 2021 virtual event was a huge success!

THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU

FOR BELIEVING IN US AND YOUR IMMENSE GENEROSITY

The pandemic forced us to cancel our 2020 Fall in Love with BirchBark Gala. In 2021, with the need for help continuing to grow as COVID and the fires wreaked havoc on so many in our community, we decided to move forward with the 2021 Fall in Love with BirchBark as a virtual event. We took a risk and had no idea what to expect. But once again, our amazing supporters, sponsor and partners came through for us.

We came very close to reaching the extraordinary success of our inaugural event in 2019. Your donations and support will enable us to continue to help all of the pets and families that desperately need our help during these challenging times. And our grief support program and education webinars have helped meet genuine needs of all animal lovers in our communities and beyond.

Thank you again for always being there for BirchBark!

Love does truly heal.

BirchBark 2020 Celebration of Hope Campaign - our COVID 19 RESPONSE!

Website Banner $105,000.png

Thank you!

The global pandemic we are all experiencing has changed the world for most of us. BirchBark Foundation is no exception. All of our 2020 live events were canceled, and the pandemic has impacted the financial resources of so many in our community.

The need has increased with the pandemic affecting income for so many vulnerable pet owners in the community  Our work keeps loving dogs and cats for young children and disabled in their homes, seniors with their only companion, Veterans with their PTSD preventing buddies and LOVE in the home.

With your help, our Tree of Hope is now almost 70% full. Our goal is to reach $200,000 so that we can continue to help continue to fund the incredible amount of calls for help we receive each and every day. MCGives! 2020 is our next event that we hope will complete our Tree of Hope.

Our 2019 lecture series was a great success!

Thank you to our presenters for helping us educate the public and to The Raw Connection and Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists for hosting us!  Stay tuned for a new eduction program in late 2020 once we are through the COVID crisis.

Aptos 4th of July “Worlds Shortest Parade”

Aptos’ 4th of July parade clocks in at 0.6 miles, but don’t let its brevity fool you. This was a fun community parade that drew a huge crowd this year. Lot’s of lucky pets watching the parade were given a cool toy or a BirchBark Poop Bag Holder!

A great time was had by all and we can’t wait for next year.

BirchBark Foundation was very excited to participate in the 39th Annual Santa Cruz County Human Race!

BirchBark, along with 79 other non-profits, helped raised almost $227,000 at this year's Human Race.  A part of these donations will go to BirchBark Foundation to assist with our mission of helping low income families through pet medical crises. Thanks to all who supported us this year!

Community Tuesday at shadowbrook restaurant

Thank you everyone who took advantage of the great food, atmosphere and hospitality of Shadowbrook Restaurant on Tuesday, February 12th. This is such a special place and we are so grateful for Shadowbrook’s support to our cause. They donated 30% of every BirchBark diner’s bill to help pets and their families when a medical catastrophe strikes. We can’t wait to do this again next year!

Paint Your Pet, sponsored by the Painted Cork. February 3, 2019

Thank you to all our “artists” who attended this SOLD OUT event! And special thanks to Kimberly Godinho from The Painted Cork for guiding us through our masterpieces. Everyone enjoyed wine, great snacks and a lot of FUN. All funds raised from this event helped us to fund medical costs for pets whose families didn’t have the financial resources to save them without a little help. THANK YOU! We can’t wait to do this event again.
