2016 BirchBark Pinot Noir
Produced by Montagne Russe Winery
The BirchBark Pinot is our first foray into Santa Lucia Highlands. In 2016 we took full advantage of the ripe conditions to create a juicy, full bodied pinot from Tondre vineyard. This wine has a rich under underbelly of ripe strawberry and rhubarb. We paired the body of the 667 clone pinot with tight grained French oak, 15% of which was new.
This winery has also recently produced a 95-point Robert Parker rated Pinot Noir.

BirchBark Doga Classes
Local dog owners will not only have a chance this December to bond with their pets through a unique “Doga” class, but to also benefit the BirchBark Foundation.
Aimee Hyatt of Dogafit will be teaching the classes at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at The Raw Connection, 26200 Carmel Rancho Blvd. in Carmel. Hyatt is asking for a donation to BirchBark as payment for the class, which are regularly priced at $20. The classes will be approximately an hour. Dogs must be kept on a very short leash and be current on shots. Please bring your own yoga mat. No human or dog food allowed but water is recommended
There are only 25 spaces available for each class. To sign up, call 831.471.7255 or email email@example.com.
Dogafit’s Doga classes are unique yoga classes in which owners and their dogs together can practice mindfulness to nurture, restore, discover and support each other.
By combining the human and canine bodies, minds and spirits on our yoga mats, we begin by focusing on our breath and calm energy. The foundation of this practice is to nurture, restore, discover and support each other. This is the ultimate bonding experience as we share these different modalities with our pets. We end our practice with discussion and the exchange of information which is moderated by Aimee and beneficial to all.
We rely on the help of our wonderful volunteers to achieve our mission. These orientations will give us an opportunity to talk about the work we do at BirchBark Foundation, to meet one another, and to discuss the various roles and support work available for volunteers.
